My Critique on Web 2.0

  1. Animoto- http://animoto.com

Animoto is a website that you can use on your own personal computer to make and create professional quality videos. This website is budget friendly, fun to use, and makes it all easier to do and understand. I would use this in my classroom as often as possible! I would have my kids making videos to post about their lives and what they think they can do in Physical Education to make them get in better shape. I would also use it in my classroom to help the kids a more broad view of technology.

      2. iNetWord- http://www.inetword.com/

iNetWord is a website to where anyone can create documents just like how word does but better. This website uses a autosave technology so that you can never overwrite a saved document. iNetWord allows you to create boarders and backgrounds into your document as well. In my classroom I will use this website over Word because the students can come up and create better and more interesting documents. Also, I will use  iNetWords because the class will be able to share their documents with each other.

      3.FindHow- http://www.findhow.com/

FindHow is a search engine that allows anyone to search how to do pretty much anything that they want. This website is fun because, it teaches and shows you how to do things on your own so that you can feel happy about something. I would use this in my classroom by making the kids go to FindHow and looking up how to build something and build it for class. I will also let the kids use FindHow to teach and show them how to properly workout on their own.

      4. Silverback- http://www.silverbackapp.com/
Picture_178.png

The only downfall that I found with Silverback is that it is not free, but it does come with a free 30 day trial. Silverback allows one to capture their screen activity, video the users reactions, and record the users voice. Silverback also allows the user to add chapter markers where ever and when ever needed. I would use this in my class to help me monitor the kids use on computers. I will also use it so that if the kids are watching a workout video that they can pause, record, screenshot and whatever else all by using their voice.

      5.Authorstream- http://www.authorstream.com/

Authorstream is a website which one can present and share their PowerPoint presentations with people across the world. With this website you can post your PowerPoint directly to YouTube so that millions of people can view it. Authorstream allows you to have meetings online with others and it is able to be posted to any website. I would use this in my classroom to have the children create PowerPoint presentations on how to properly workout. Authorstream will also be used in the class to meet on off days online to discuss materials about the class.

     6. SoundCloud- http://soundcloud.com/
soundcloud.png

SoundCloud is a great free website that allows you to make your sounds look and sound better. With SoundCloud you can post freely on any website. You can create a sound, transfer it to SoundCloud, make it look and sound better, and from there you can post it to FasceBook so the whole world can see or you can make it private where only a select few can listen to it. In my classroom I would use SoundCloud to make the kids create lecture about working out and posting them for others to hear.

      7. Skitch- http://plasq.com/skitch
Picture_107.png

Skitch is a free website that allows you to post a picture to it and edit it to make it look like a comic book. Skitch allows you to crop, add text, resize, change color, and anything else that you can think of to a photo. The best part about Skitch, you do not have to save. All you do is post your picture, do your editings and then drag it to where ever you need it to be. I would use this in my class to make the kids create a comic about Physical Education.

      8. Word It Out- http://worditout.com/http://worditout.com/

Word It Out is a word cloud generator that gives you full control of your words. It is free and there is no sign up for it. With Word It Out you can create sentences, documents, tables and many more. You have the full right to create and remove words, and make some words more important than other ones. I think this will be a good website to use in class to help the children learn how to create documents better and more efficient.

      9. Smories-http://www.smories.com/
  smories.png
Smories is a free online news site that is for kids by kids. On this site there is kids who read stories for other kids to listen to. It is a great website for child story writers to post on to help get published. I would use this site for the kids in my class to get on and listen to other kids stories about working out. I will also make my kids create a story on Smories about working out.

      10. Student Publishing- http://www.studentpublishing.com/
studentpublishing.png

Student Publishing is a website where students can log onto and create their own paper back and or hard back books. Everything that the students makes will be professionally typed and created to their standards. Children can make a book for themselves, their parent, grandparents, friends, and even one for the class to read. I would use this website to allow my kids to come up and create a book to help other kids to become more physical fit. I would also use it because children listen to their peers more, and so if one of their peers has a book that they have written, they might would read it and listen to them better.
